Saint Luke’s Town Hall: SCAD–Unique or Not?

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Dr. Tracy Stevens and Dr. Jason Lindsey will host a SCAD Town Hall at the Muriel I. Kauffman Women’s Heart Center at Saint Luke’s of Kansas City, MO. All are welcome, so make your plans today to learn more about SCAD and ask the questions most important to you.

Marcia McCoy, director of Saint Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women’s Heart Center, explains the goal in hosting the town hall: “We hope that the presentation will motivate those who have experienced SCAD to join us on this awareness journey and those who care for these women to ask themselves – is there more we can do – what are the appropriate testing modalities? What is the best medical regime and recommendations we can offer?”

The Women’s Heart Center targets outreach and promotion to all disciplines. “We feel we are starting at the beginning, through networking and educating health professionals, subspecialists and the general population about SCAD,” McCoy adds. “We want to stimulate anyone and everyone to share in our passion as we strive to build the Midwest’s Center of Excellence in Women’s Cardiovascular Research at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, MO.”
