Huffington Post profiles SCAD survivor and author Deborah Daw Heffernan

Deborah Daw Heffernan, a survivor of a heart attack caused by the rare disorder spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), is profiled on Huffington Post in a column, “This American Heart Month, Let’s Celebrate Survivors — Like Deborah” by Nancy Brown, CEO of American Heart Association. Heffernan published the book “An Arrow Through The Heart: One Woman’s Story of Life, Love, and Surviving a Near-Fatal Heart Attack,” in 2002. Heffernan is a supporter of SCAD Alliance.
